The Leprechaun
Leprechaun 4: In Space is the fifth in the Leprechaun horror movie series. It's in space, but that's what makes it so awesome. Leprechaun 4 shows how to make a ludicrous idea "special." The movie has realistic effects, imaginative killings, and hilarious Leprechaun lines. If you like the Leprechaun series or horror films, watch Leprechaun 4: In Space.
Pinhead
Hellraiser: Bloodline is an intriguing continuation of the series that also acts as a precursor to the events that have come before. The narrative jumps between three distinct eras, beginning in the 1700s and ending in the 2200s. My anticipation for the fourth film in the series was not very high, and if we're being honest, I'm really just here for Pinhead and the other Cenobites. Seeing Doug Bradley live is always a treat because he never loses that chilly, menacing, and demonic air that he exudes throughout his shows. This is illogical and difficult to understand, but who cares about any of those things? Pinhead's moments in Bloodline are so horrific that you should see the movie even if you have watched everything else in the Hellraiser or any of the other works that Clive Barker has created, then you definitely need to check out this one. Even if there isn't a whole lot of logic to it, it's still a great fun ride all the same.
Critters
I must confess that I was curious when I learned that Critters 4 would take place in space. How, after all, could they beat the previous Critters films? The cast list, though, made it seem less promising when I looked at it later. Darren Dourif? Does Angela Bassett? Anders Hove, a well-known actor from Denmark? Simply put, I couldn't see how this could possibly work.
And my worst worries were realized while seeing Critters 4. The plot was poor, the characters were terrible, and the setting was a rip-off of other properties. From a fan's Leprechaun in space standpoint, what hurts the most is that the elements that made the prior installments distinctive and fun are either totally eliminated or absent. Critters 4 is a terrible disaster and a major letdown.
Dracula
One of the very few awful horror films that is so horrible it's almost unwatchable is Dracula 3000. I adore detesting Dracula 3000. Even though it's terrible the whole time, my primary complaint is that the finale was a complete cop-out and left me feeling absolutely disappointed. "Dracula in Space" wasn't as horrible as I had imagined it would be; rather, it was dreadful. The concept is interesting, but the performance is poor, and the conversation is intolerably annoying. If you want to have a bad day, I suggest viewing it.
Coolio, too. Coolio is the star. Is it true I said that?
Jason Voorhees
Jason X is the most renowned horror sequel with a space villain. Jason Voorhees is an icon. How he got there doesn't matter. Why he's in space is unknown. All that counts is Jason is in space and ready to cause mayhem.
I think Jason X is entertaining to watch for the transformation of Jason into Uber Jason as well as the Easter eggs and throwbacks to prior Friday the 13th flicks.
Although not everyone's cup of tea, this movie is a lot of fun to see for horror movie lovers who like goofy, cheesey, campy slasher movies.
